Appointment (Canon Dr. David Anderson)

The Reverend Canon Dr. David Anderson, Priest-in-Charge of St. Jude’s, Oakville, has been appointed Interim Archdeacon of Trafalgar from May 1, 2024 to July 31, 2024, during The Venerable Jeff Ward’s sabbatical.

Appointment (Nicola Zhang)

The Reverend Nicola Zhang has been appointed rector at St. Michael's, Hamilton, on a full-time basis, effective August 1, 2024.

Sympathy (Canon David Ricketts, O.N)

It is with great sadness that we share the news that Canon David Ricketts, O.N. died on Sunday, April 21, 2024. David was an active parishioner of St. James, Dundas, our former insurance broker, and a longstanding member of the Bishop's Advisory Committee on Church Buildings. In recognition of his significant and varied ministry contributions, he received the Order of Niagara in 2003 and was installed as an honorary canon of Christ's Church Cathedral in 2014. A funeral to celebrate David's life will be held at St. James Anglican Church (137 Melville Street, Dundas) on Friday, May 3 at 1:00pm. Visitation will be held at the Marlatt Funeral Home - Swackhamer Chapel (195 King Street West, Dundas) on Thursday, May 2 from 7:00-9:00pm. Please remember David's wife, Susan, his daughters Jennifer and Wendy, his family and friends, as well as the people of St. James in your prayers as they mourn his death.

Appointment (Dr. John Stephenson)

The Reverend Dr. John Stephenson has been appointed to serve as priest-in-charge of St. Paul's, Glandford, on a part-time time basis, effective May 12, 2024.

Retirement (Trish Foden)

After 10 and a half years of service to the diocese, Trish Foden, payroll, pensions, and benefits administrator, will be retiring effective May 31, 2024. She has been a steadfast and supportive presence, diligently attending to our payroll needs, as well as group benefit and continuing education inquiries. We have been blessed by Trish’s dedication and friendship and wish her all the best in her retirement.
